Other Information Mary-Jo specializes in nature, travel and architectural color photography. Her favorite subject matter is in her own backyard of West Virginia; however, she has traveled widely to capture scenes of uniqueness and beauty. She is particularly drawn to photographing images of our rapidly vanishing countryside, hoping to inspire the viewer of her work to appreciate the history of a place and its natural beauty. Mary-Jo looks for vibrant color, rhythm, pattern and unique textures in her subjects. Many of her photographs exhibit a painterly quality. This is intentional and the result of early morning or late afternoon light capture, in-camera controls or manipulation, and the final printing process. Once an image is finalized in her computer darkroom, she prints most photographs on a pearl-finish, professional photographic paper to achieve a unique softness to the image. She also mats and frames each image to ensure the most attractive and highest quality results.

Other Information I am an 11th generation artisan. With that said I have a lot of creativity and like to explore new things. Growing up at the elbow of a successful sculptor encouraged me to look seriously into the arts as a career and a life style. Besides creating art I also enjoy collecting art and promoting the arts. I believe that the arts have more power in them than weapons and that the artists have more creativity than military but need to be harnessed to be effective in solving worldwide problems. See the arts gain more power is part of my passion.

Other Information The path to art is paved with discovery. The elements of painting are all present and only guidance is needed to adjust them into being. Beginning with short, uncertain movement and morphing into more graphic styles, finally maturing with the confidence of deconstruction. Brush strokes smooth out the rough edges, sharing images that get to the point through the use of lines and concise images. The works of Euterpe's Pleasure speak clearly of experience beyond the tangible. finding oneself in a lucid dream move beyond the rational and planned world elements pull togetherstretch out your arms and fly Jocelynne Lowans's work investigates a world that exists without restrictions. Lowans explores a myriad of moments and emotions, taking form on the canvas as blended forms and shapes. Using forms and figures of various kinds, with color as the binding agent that pulls all the elements into a cohesive whole, Lowans procreates meaning into consciousness.
