4 Day Watercolor Workshop
with Tom Lynch

July 10-13, 2012, 9:30am-4:30pm

Holiday Inn, 301 Foxcroft Avenue, Martinsburg WV (Map)

Workshop Fee $400 (Hotel and meals not included * )

Lynch brings to his class the same enthusiasm and energy as seen on his nationally known TV series "Fun with Watercolor" that has been on PBS for the last 20 years.

The objectives of the workshop are to show the vast range and flexibility of watercolor. This includes how to put emotion and conviction into painting by exploring, experimenting, and developing the creativity of each individual. Tom makes the process of painting fun, along with sharing his enthusiasm and demonstrating new techniques in an atmosphere that makes the intermediate and advanced painter feel welcome!

You are qualified for this workshop with Tom if you can:

  • Dilute paint and apply
  • Mix colors and apply
  • Apply paint with flat or round brushes
  • Experiment with wet on wet or dry brush techniques
  • Change value with water

A goal for each day is set, and each student will see an example and understanding of that day's lesson. There will be daily demonstration paintings, with detailed explanations of all the "hows" and "whys" followed by individual attention to see what each student understands and has as an example of the day's objective.
